How is life after prostate cancer surgery?

The objective of prostate cancer treatment is to make life after prostate cancer as similar as possible to life before prostate cancer. While some things, such as fertility, cannot be restored after prostate cancer surgery, many other functions can be restored.

No matter the oncological and functional outcomes, an absolute requirement of life after prostate cancer is periodic prostate PSA tests. This should be done no matter how good the prognosis is thought to be.
